Jon Paul Wilson - Crashing Waves 2 - Limited Edition Print

‘Crashing waves 2’ is painted in a more expressive, impressionistic style of painting compared to Jon Paul's normal more rigid way of painting. He used a range of filbert, flat and fan brushes to create a dynamic wave crashing on the rocks and achieved realistic colours using a prismatic colour palette to recreate the moment.

The sunlight highlights rich green hues of the waves, the bright sunlit white foam and contrasts with the violet shaded sea in the foreground to create a more dramatic painting.

Originally painted with thick wet on wet oils to create luminous colours, this print comes mounted in white.
