Collection: Caroline Walker

Caroline Walker is a Yorkshire based artist who specialises mainly in landscape and seascape paintings.

Caroline holds a bachelor’s degree in Textile Design from Leeds University and has since then worked as an Art Teacher and Head of Art, before dividing her time between painting and supply teaching.

Light and colour form an integral part of her work, as does capturing the beauty and tranquillity of special places. Caroline is passionate about painting and loves to paint coastal scenes, predominantly using pastels and combining them with watercolours as she finds the wonderful vibrant colours and velvety textures best suited to her subjects. These are mostly of the East Coast, where her parents lived and Devon, Dorset and Ireland, which are the family’s favourite holiday destinations.

“I have been painting for over 40 years and my passion lies in creating pastel and watercolour seascapes, inspired by stunning coastal landscapes from childhood memories and many happy holidays. The sea is my favourite place, bringing me lots of joy, and I hope to share that feeling with others through my work. Whether it’s a calm morning or a stormy afternoon, I love exploring the magic of the water with every brushstroke. I hope my paintings invite you to experience the beauty and tranquillity of the sea as I do.”
