We provide a high quality reliable bespoke framing service, using only top-quality wooden mouldings (many of today’s mass produced frames are plastic, made to look like wood) with over 6000 designs available to order.
We have many different mouldings in stock and will order in any that you require that we don’t keep as standard. Acid free mountboard is used as standard, and UV blocking and anti-reflective glass and acrylic are options.
The framing of textiles is a speciality, and we can lace, adding donor material where necessary, rather than use glue or adhesive mounts (these could damage your embroidery over time). Alternatively, depending on the material type we can tight fit (more suitable for silks or fine materials which may “pucker” if tension is applied), pin to foamboard, Fabrigrip or stitch to a support cloth or board.
We also offer canvas stretching and framing, offering conventional, gallery and museum stretching techniques, as well as tray frame and traditional framing options.
3D framing is a wonderful way to preserve treasured items and we offer a wide variety of options.
Bespoke picture framing is a term that covers all the types of made to measure picture frames. Each custom frame is designed and built specifically for the item being framed, so the combination of size, mount, moulding and glazing will be unique to your picture or object and give it the perfect backdrop.
We understand that it can be difficult to visualise the finished product from just a couple of mountboard and moulding chevrons, that’s why we are introducing visualisation software to the gallery to help you make more informed choices.
As all frames are handmade to order and are bespoke, we can make a frame for almost anything! If you’ve got something you want framed, then please contact us to discuss.
Bespoke picture framing takes time
Please expect to wait several weeks for our framing service, especially in the summer months and the run up to Christmas.
Framing consultations also take time, so please book an appointment here, so that we can spend an appropriate amount of time helping you with your requirements.
